Today's Royal News

Attending the Chelsea Flower show on Monday: Princess Alexandra, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, Earl and Countess of Wessex, Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, will all be attending.  I do hope the Cambridge's appear but it's unlikely.  Unfortunately the Queen will miss this show for the first time since 2005. Princess Beatrice attended a garden party last week to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Russell House. HRH met with staff and families before burying a time capsule in the garden. The Duke of Gloucester in Nottinghamshire visited Patchings Art Centre to formally open their newly established Artists' Trail. During the visit, the Duke also met the winner of Her Majesty's Jubilee Emblem competition.  Princess Alexandra attended a reception a the Royal Brompton Hospital in London. HRH spoke to hospital employees and viewed an art installation designed by staff , inspired by their experiences throughout the pandemic.  The Prince of Wales with ...

The Countess of Wessex is celebrated

  A new portrait of Sophie taken in the early 2020 in which Her Royal Highness wears the robes of a Dame of the Order of St John. Yesterday The Countess of Wessex, Grand President of St John Ambulance, was presented with the First Bar to the Service Medal, marking HRH's 15 years of service to the order.

The Duchess of Cambridge is back !

The Duchess of Cambridge has arrived at RAF Brize Norton where she's set to hear about the humanitarian evacuation undertaken by the RAF of thousands of people from Afghanistan.  The Duchess's Wardrobe: The Duchess of Cambridge wore a new jacket in neutral. It was the Reiss 'Larsson' double-breasted Twill blazer. A new bag was also in the cards for today as the Duchess wore Tusting Mini Holly Bag in Taupe.  The Duke of Cambridge was seen out and about today at the London Eye. With his Earthshot prize announcing their first winners on Friday - I imagine it's about that.

Catching up with the Countess of Wessex & Other News

  Last night, the Countess of Wessex attended an event with blindness prevention charity , UK Orbis to launch a £100,000 appeal to deliver 17,000 operations to adults and children across Ethiopia, Nepal and Bangladesh.   HRH has long worked with organisations with preventing blindness in mind and the Countess has travelled to many countries to support the honourable work.  Next week, the Countess will speak about menopause. A topic she has spoken on before and something that needs more spotlight on. Yesterday, the Duke of Gloucester officially opened The Hold, a new archives and heritage centre on Ipswich's waterfront. HRH was given a tour of the new building which was created in partnership with the University of Suffolk and Suffolk City Council. The Hold is home to more than nine centuries of history, safely preserved by Suffolk Archives.  HRH also visited the university where he viewed an exhibition curated by the University's Architecture students.  Whi...

A new engagement for the Duchess of Cambridge + Other news

  The Duchess of Cambridge will tomorrow have her first engagement since the 11th July. I am glad to see announcements for engagements for the Duchess starting to be announced as I was wondering where Kate was. Also, I'm quite shocked at the engagement itself; in a good way. I hope there's a military patronage for the Duchess soon. Princess Anne visited Northhampton General Hospital to officially open their new Paediatric Emergency department.  The Duke of Cambridge attends an award ceremony at the Roundhouse in London. HRH was there in his capacity as Patron of the NHS Charities, which he is joint Patron with the Duchess of Cambridge. 

Keeping up with Princess Anne...if you can & Others

The Princess Royal attends the ceremony of the Constable's Dues at the Tower of London, where the Royal Navy crew from HMS Albion present a barrel of wine to the Constable of the Tower.  HRH is the sponsor of HMS Albion.  Zara Tindall competes on her horse 'Showtime', in the cross country phase of the Cornbury Horse Trials. The Prince of Wales was out and about once more. The Duke today visited local fruit growers in Aberdeenshire to find out more about this family run business which has 400 acres of soft fruit. HRH toured the farm, including the blueberry polytunnels and packhouse. The business harvests fruit for nine months of the year and is the most northerly commercial blueberry farm i the world.  The Duke then visited the House of Dun, a historical National Trust of Scotland property in Montrose to open new installations that tell the stories of hundred of years of rural life in the county of Angus.

Weekend Bites

  Another wedding in the royal circle. James Middleton; brother to the Duchess of Cambridge married his finance in France over the weekend in an intimate ceremony.  Royal reaction to tennis  Duchess of Cambridge Queen Elizabeth Princess Beatrice Lets hope we see the Duchess of Cambridge out and about this week.

The Duchess of Cambridge reacts to the success of a British Tennis player: Tweet from the Duchess   A day out for Prince William for the Emergency Services Day The Duke of Cambridge was in South London yesterday to meet with staff and volunteers as well as the people they'd helped.  HRH also hosted an engagement in Kensington Palace for preventing suicide. Little Bits The Prince of Wales as patron of the friends of the national libraries made a personal donation to help save one of the UK's greatest private collection of manuscripts and books.  Members of the royal family attended the wedding of Flora Ogilvy; granddaughter of Princess Alexandra.  The beautiful bride wearing the Ogilvy tiara and Princess Alexandra's earrings.  The Duchess of Cornwall was once again out in Scotland - see Clarence House's social media for information.

  The Earl and Countess of Wessex paid a visit to Home-Start Charity Yesterday, the couple paid a visit to the charity Home-Start in Corby to thank staff for what they do to support their local community. TRH's spoke with staff and volunteers before unveiling a plaque to mark the day. The Countess of Wessex wore Diane Von Furstenberg's Liliana scoop-neck graphic print woven maxi dress.   Celebrating and remembering the Duke of Edinburgh  A BBC programme will air on the 22nd September on BBC One. The royal family will pay personal tributes to the Duke of Edinburgh.  Prince Philip: The Royal Family Remembers, features all the Queen's children, their adult grandchildren and other members of the royal family and staff. The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall in Scotland  The couple visited the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow to celebrate it's 120th Anniversary.  It was founded as the last great museum of the Victoria Era and in 1902 opened as Glasgow's civic art gallery and museum. By the time of its closure in 2003 for restoration it was established as the most visited museum and art gallery outside of London. New Patronage for the Duchess of Cornwall + Engagement later this month

  The Duchess of Cornwall signals her determination to extend her work on helping the survivors of sexual violence as she becomes patron of Nigeria's first sexual assault referral centre. The Duchess has a long history with working on this topic and bringing much needed discussion and spotlight onto it.  This Month's Engagements so far: 9th September:  To mark Emergency Services Day, the Duke of Cambridge will visit Dockhead fire station in south London on Thursday where he will meet emergency respondents and members of the public who received their life-saving support. 19th September: The Prince of Wales, Patron, Battle of Britain Fighter Association and The Duchess of Cornwall, will attend a service of Thanksgiving and Rededication to mark the 81st Anniversary of the Battle of Britain at Westminster Abbey Message #💞the-cambridge-

Today, the Duke of Kent attended a Drumhead Service in the gardens of the Palace of Holyroodhouse to mark the 50th anniversary of the formation of the Scot's Dragoon, which the Queen is Colonel-in-chief and the Duke is Deputy Colonel-in-chief.  A Drumhead Service is a Christian Service traditionally held for Army personnel in the field of conflict when there's no access to a church. 50 years ago in 1971 Her Majesty and His Royal Highness attended the formation of the Scot's Dragoon in Holyrood Park, just near the palace. Dolphin House: A Cambridge's getaway

 The last two breaks have seen the Cambridge family in the Isles of Scilly. The holiday is a perfect choice whilst the pandemic is still up in the air and seems to be somewhere the family enjoy for them to return again in 2021.  The Isles of Scilly are an archipelago off the Cornish coast, in southwest England.  Dolphin House is situated on the Island of Tresco.  The best part is you can even stay there as it's rented out most of the year around.  Here is a description of the property: Dolphin House is a large old granite rectory, with spectacular views towards Round Island Lighthouse, set in large private walled garden. RNLI's Tribute to Prince Philip

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is the largest charity that saves lives at sea around the coasts of the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man, as well as on some inland waterways.   The RNLI have announced that their new state-of-the-art lifeboat will be named after His Royal Highness Th Duke of Edinburgh. With the naming of 'Duke of Edinburgh', the RNLI honour HRH's lifelong commitment to maritime services and his royal navy career. Throughout his life, the Duke of Edinburgh was a passionate sailor. Having trained at Dartmouth, he went on to become one of the royal navy's youngest First Lieutenants, and saw active service in WWII. It was in 1950, 71 years today, the Duke assumed command of HMS magpie.  In June, the Prince of Wales visited 'Duke of Edinburgh' at the RNLI Lifeboat centre in Poole. Duke and Duchess of Rothesay out and about

The couple first unveiled a plaque to commemorate the opening of the Ballater Community and Heritage Hub. During this visit, the couple toured the art exhibition which takes place in the Heritage Hub. Afterwards, the couple visited local shops and businesses during a short walk through the village in Ballater, Scotland. Fashion Thoughts: I'm in love with the Duchess's outfit. The tartan and colour are just so nice even thought I could do without the colour of the shoes but it doesn't ruin it for me.
