Rugby Match for the Waleses

The Prince of Wales, Patron of the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU), and The Princess of Wales, Patron of the Rugby Football Union, attended the Wales vs England Six Nations Match at the Principality Stadium. As ever, the friendly competition between the pair is expected. A few events before the game took place: Before the game kicked off, William and Kate spent time meeting injured players who are supported by the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust. The principal aim of the charity is to help and support those who have been seriously injured whilst playing rugby football in Wales.   TRH's sang both national anthems for the teams they were watching but it was the Princess who came up victorious with England winning 20-10. Over to the fashion now as Catherine brought back a fan favourite, which we were all hoping would get a re-wear. The Princess wore the Catherine Walker coat that was first worn on the 2018 tour of Sweden when Catherine was expecting Prince Louis. As ever; in recent t...

A NEW ERA

THE QUEEN IS DEAD. LONG LIVE THE KING. The Queen peacefully died at Balmoral Castle in the afternoon of the 8th September 2022. No more information on the actual time of death or cause has been released. The House of Windsor has now forever changed and only time will tell if the monarchy can survive not just in the United Kingdom but in the other realms. I personally hope it continues but I have doubts at how many will keep the now King Charles III as their head of state. So much has happened over the last week and the funeral is still to come on Monday. Like a child, I had thought she would live forever.  Grief is the price we pay for love.

Today's Royal News

Attending the Chelsea Flower show on Monday: Princess Alexandra, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, Earl and Countess of Wessex, Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, will all be attending.  I do hope the Cambridge's appear but it's unlikely.  Unfortunately the Queen will miss this show for the first time since 2005. Princess Beatrice attended a garden party last week to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Russell House. HRH met with staff and families before burying a time capsule in the garden. The Duke of Gloucester in Nottinghamshire visited Patchings Art Centre to formally open their newly established Artists' Trail. During the visit, the Duke also met the winner of Her Majesty's Jubilee Emblem competition.  Princess Alexandra attended a reception a the Royal Brompton Hospital in London. HRH spoke to hospital employees and viewed an art installation designed by staff , inspired by their experiences throughout the pandemic.  The Prince of Wales with ...

The Countess of Wessex is celebrated

A new portrait of Sophie taken in the early 2020 in which Her Royal Highness wears the robes of a Dame of the Order of St John. Yesterday The Countess of Wessex, Grand President of St John Ambulance, was presented with the First Bar to the Service Medal, marking HRH's 15 years of service to the order.

The Duchess of Cambridge is back !

The Duchess of Cambridge has arrived at RAF Brize Norton where she's set to hear about the humanitarian evacuation undertaken by the RAF of thousands of people from Afghanistan.  The Duchess's Wardrobe: The Duchess of Cambridge wore a new jacket in neutral. It was the Reiss 'Larsson' double-breasted Twill blazer. A new bag was also in the cards for today as the Duchess wore Tusting Mini Holly Bag in Taupe.  The Duke of Cambridge was seen out and about today at the London Eye. With his Earthshot prize announcing their first winners on Friday - I imagine it's about that.

Catching up with the Countess of Wessex & Other News

Last night, the Countess of Wessex attended an event with blindness prevention charity , UK Orbis to launch a £100,000 appeal to deliver 17,000 operations to adults and children across Ethiopia, Nepal and Bangladesh.   HRH has long worked with organisations with preventing blindness in mind and the Countess has travelled to many countries to support the honourable work.  Next week, the Countess will speak about menopause. A topic she has spoken on before and something that needs more spotlight on. Yesterday, the Duke of Gloucester officially opened The Hold, a new archives and heritage centre on Ipswich's waterfront. HRH was given a tour of the new building which was created in partnership with the University of Suffolk and Suffolk City Council. The Hold is home to more than nine centuries of history, safely preserved by Suffolk Archives.  HRH also visited the university where he viewed an exhibition curated by the University's Architecture students.  Whi...
